Help return natives to Knoop Park

Replace non-natives and add Arkansas native plants
What:            Plant native shrubs, perennials, grasses, wildflowers.

                        Remove invasive privet, wisteria, winter honeysuckle.

 

Where:          Planting under the high transmission lines by the south trail of

                        Knoop Park.  Removing invasive plants in several areas near the

                        Overlook and below the Plaza.  Enter from Ozark Point (street).                                            GPS: 34.45.20.85N, 92.18.15.40W

 

When:            Saturday, March 21.  9 a.m. onward.

 

Tools:             Shovels (sharp narrow and scoop); pick axe/mattock; loppers; saws

 

Project coordinated with:
                       Hillcrest Residents Association,

Little Rock Parks and Recreation,

Ozark Point Water Treatment Plant, and

Central Arkansas Master Naturalists.
